Hong Kong was my home for several years after having visited it a few years before as a tourist. Living there gave me the chance to experience the city beyond its surface. I was fascinated by its contrasts — the meeting of East and West, tradition and modernity, stillness and constant movement. From the quiet temples and hillside trails to the bustle of Central and Kowloon, there was always something to photograph, always another story waiting to unfold. My images from this time reflect the rhythm of daily life, the play of light on glass and water, and the character of a city that never truly stands still. Hong Kong taught me how to see the extraordinary in the ordinary, and it remains one of the most inspiring places I’ve ever lived.
