My connection with Canada began as a student, travelling from Seattle to Vancouver and then across the country to visit my aunt in Montreal. Those early experiences left a lasting impression — the friendliness of the people, the space, and the light. Later trips took me to Quebec City, with its Old World charm, and back to Montreal years later for a conference that felt like a return to familiar ground. Another conference brought me to Vancouver once again, and to the magical landscape of Whistler. My photographs from Canada reflect those moments of discovery — the beauty of its cities, the grandeur of its landscapes, and the quiet warmth that runs through it all.
