I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work in Afghanistan, even though it could be quite dangerous at times. Based primarily in Kabul, I also travelled to Parwan, Bamyan, the Bandiamir Lakes, Salang, the Panjshir Valley, and Kunduz. Everywhere I went, I saw contrasts — destruction alongside stunning natural beauty, and hardship alongside extraordinary warmth. The people I met were unbelievably kind and hospitable, leaving a lasting impression. My photography from Afghanistan aims to capture both the resilience of the land and the spirit of its people, reflecting moments of beauty and humanity in a complex and remarkable country.
